چکیده
Abstract Introduction Although arthroscopic acromioclavicular (AC) joint resection is a frequently performed procedure, the pathophysiology of non-traumatic AC degeneration still unclear. The purpose this study was to investigate whether shows typical pattern and it starts at posterior part with malalignment articular surfaces. Materials methods In retrospective monocentric diagnostic study, healthy affected subjects were investigated using T2 magnet resonance imaging (MRI) scans in transverse plane. Group 1 included 30 asymptomatic adults no history trauma (mean age, 38.6 years). group 2, 90 patients symptomatic joints who underwent 60.0 All relevant pathologies that affect excluded. Malalignment defined as space smaller than 2 mm conjunction an angle lower 12°. Results measured values mm; mean p -value): anterior (6.07; 5.63; 0.50), central (2.97; 2.09; 0.001), (3.97; 2.38; 0,001), (7.63; 19.2; 0.001). 1, n = 24 (80%) showed aligned joints, whereas only 11 (12.2%) ( < Increasing age correlated significantly (r 0.21, 0.021). Conclusions Patients degenerative changes show opening early contact surfaces contrast subjects. influences effect.

Patterns of degenerative change in the acromioclavicular joint.
A distinctive and consistent pattern of degenerative change was seen in 560 acromioclavicular joints from dry bone skeletons of subjects over 40 years of age. An appreciation of this characteristic configuration is helpful at operation or when introducing a needle into the joint.

Examination was made of 486 skeletons of subjects over the age of 60 years to study patterns of degenerative change in the glenohumeral joint. Three distinct types were found. Useful clinical implications are drawn from these distinctions.

Two patients are reported, one adolescent and one young adult, each of whom sustained a fracture separation of the lateral part of the clavicle which gave the clinical and radiological appearance of a complete acromioclavicular dislocation. At operation a longitudinal rupture was found in the periosteal envelope, and the lateral part ofthe clavicle was displaced through it; thejoint itself and ...

Injury patterns of the acromioclavicular ligament complex in acute acromioclavicular joint dislocations: a cross-sectional, fundamental study
BACKGROUND Horizontal instability impairs clinical outcome following acute acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) reconstruction and may be caused by insufficient healing of the superior acromioclavicular ligament complex (ACLC). However, characteristics of acute ACLC injuries are poorly understood so far. Purposes of this study were to identify different ACLC tear types, assess type-specific prevalence...
